Biography
Sam, the son of Nariman, was one of Iran's greatest heroes and the ruler of Sistan. As a paladin of Iran during the reigns of Fereydun and Manuchehr, he was renowned for his immense strength and loyalty. His most significant personal story involves his son, Zal. Born with white hair, Zal was seen as a bad omen by Sam, who tragically abandoned the infant in the Alborz mountains. Haunted by guilt and guided by a dream, Sam later journeyed to find his son, who had been miraculously raised by the Simurgh. Their reunion marked a pivotal moment of repentance and reconciliation, solidifying the heroic lineage that would lead to his grandson, Rostam.
