Prose Version
Kay Kavus returned to Pars and spread joy throughout the world. He established justice and spent his time in feasting and happiness. He sent wise and brave governors to Marv, Nishapur, Balkh, and Herat. The world became so full of justice that the wolf turned away from the lamb. Due to his immense wealth, beauty, and glory, even fairies, demons, and wild beasts became obedient to him. The great ones humbled themselves before him, and crowned kings served in his army. He entrusted the title of World Champion to Rustam, acknowledging that all his good fortune came from him. Kavus ordered the construction of a magnificent palace in the Alborz mountains, a task that exhausted even the demons. He had two houses carved from hard rock, large enough for ten lassos. Inside, he built stables with steel nails and stone pillars for warhorses and camels. He also built two houses of crystal, inlaid with emeralds, designed for feasting and pleasure. Two other houses were made of pure silver to store weapons. Finally, he erected a golden palace for his own residence, reaching a great height. In this place, summer and winter were indistinguishable; the air was perfumed like ambergris, and the rain was like wine. The palace was decorated with rubies and turquoise. It was eternally spring there, with flowers blooming like the cheeks of beloveds. Sorrow and pain were banished, and only the demons suffered from their labor and punishment. The evil times went to sleep, thanks to the king's goodness and justice.
