بخش 2
Prose Version
Now, O wise and eloquent speaker, prepare a beautiful story. When words are matched with wisdom, the speaker's soul finds peace. One whose thoughts are unpleasant will find their judgment clouded by that unpleasantness; they will make themselves crooked and disgrace themselves before the wise. However, no one sees their own faults, though their nature is clear to you. If you want justice to remain, show your judgment to the wise from now on. When the wise approve, it becomes approved, and water flows in your stream like a clear eye. Now, recite the story from the words of the Dehghan and tell it to the truthful. These stories have grown old with me, but they become new again in the assembly. If life lasts long, I will remain long with this noble letter. A fruit-bearing tree will remain from me, whose fruit will boast in the meadow. After fifty-eight years have passed over my head, many wonders have gone by. Greed does not decrease with age, and one still seeks days in calendars and omens. What did that leading Mobad say? 'That which has grown old never becomes new.' As much as you speak, be eloquent; be wise and seek the world. When you depart, your dealing is with God, whether your place is good or bad. Look at what you sow, for that is what you will reap; whatever words you speak, you will hear the same. The soft-spoken hears no harshness from anyone; seek nothing but goodness in the world. Now return to the words of the Dehghan and see what the narrator says.
